Slovak Medical Library (SlLK) obtained status of the deposit library form World Health Organization (WHO) in 1991.

Since 1994 it serves also as a documentation center for WHO in Slovakia with the aim to collect, process, enable and propagate documents and publications of the Regional Office of WHO for Europe in Copenhagen and publications from WHO Headquarters in Geneva.

 

It provides recherché, borrowing, information and consulting services from statistical and bibliographic databases and information products of WHO.

 

Documentation center for WHO is available in the study room of Slovak Medical Library in National Health Information Centre. Whole WHO fund is a part of online catalogue of the Slovak Medical Library.

 

Documentation center for WHO in Slovak Republic is one of the 43 documentation centers network in 37 European WHO Member States.
